Everything Falls Into Place

     Two days in a row!  (It's like I'm dedicated or something.)  I probably shouldn't celebrate or anything until at least a month from now.   

     Rebranding is almost completely done for my photography business.  It has only taken forever, but my website is being redesigned as we speak and there is only a little bit left in my part of the redesign.  You have no idea how exciting this is for me.  I don't think I truly knew how much I bit off when I want to rebrand, just that I was completely unhappy with pretty much everything about my photography business.  Now I'm doing what I've wanted to do all along with a boutique portraiture experience.  I can't wait until I can share more with y'all but for now, all I'm going to say is get ready for some awesomeness.

     I went out to eat with my parent's and a few of their friends tonight.  It was super delicious.  And I found this wonderful spot.  Despite all of Memphis's numerous flaws, great locations for photographs is not one of them.

Santa's Coming to Town With Sequins in His Hair

     We had a visitor at the office today.  Adorable Miss Tuesday spent the day being loved on, sneaking treats, and just generally bringing joy (and the Christmas spirit) to the office.  She even had a Christmas themed collar.

Gold Card, Platinum Card, Plastic Card Too

     Big happenings are happening over here.  I applied for an internship today.  I'm not saying where and I'm not even really counting on getting it, but I had to at least apply.  It was one of those things where I would have kicked myself if I didn't at least try.  We'll see what happens.
    Another big thing.  I'm finishing this baby hat today.  I found it on revelry.com (where I find most of my patterns).

Obviously I'm not done yet.  I'm going to take it to Hank of Yarn so they can help me finish the top part.  I always have questions about it (I've done all of one hat and I'm saying always).  But the ladies there know their stuff so I'm going to ask them.  I don't want to make a mess out of the top since everything else looks so good.  And of course I still have to sew the buttons on (one on the chin strap and two to hold the flap up.  My next knitting project is a shaw for Mom that I hope I'll have done before she goes to Germany.  

     While the parents are gone to Germany (yeah they are going to visit Will and spending a whole 2 weeks in Europe without me!), I have a whole long list of things to do.  One of which is get an Etsy shop going so that I can sell about a thousand and one knick knacks and vintage things.  It's going to be a one stop shop for miscellaneous items.  I'm trying to come up with a fantabulous name.  It might be taking me just a little while.  But I think I almost have one.  You guys are going to have to wait until I get the shop up and running with a logo and a few things for sale.

     We grilled shrimp tonight for dinner so the parents and I sat outside for a while and the puppies started wrestling right under our feet.  I'm not sure I could 100% call what they were doing wrestling.  Mostly they were just biting at the air around each other.  It was pretty funny to watch.  Oscar was pretty vocal (barking) and Jack even joined in barking a bark I've never heard before.

I Long for Something That Is Safe and Warm

     Just yesterday I was priding myself in how well I'm handling my migraines.  I was telling my mom how I had stopped being frusturated at the pain I feel.  And of course, pride always comes before the fall. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow for my one month check in after my first botox treatment.  It's just to see how I'm reacting to it and for my neurologist to get a game plan for future treatments.  So I did what I always do before any doctor's appointment (just to make sure I communicate correctly and my doctor doesn't diagnosis me with depression because I cry when I get nervous), I consulted with my mom.  I figured out that I haven't had a migraine/have been almost pain free for 2-3 days this month.  The rest of the time it's been a little rough.  And of course, that got me super frustrated.  I have a good attitude about my migraines unless it's at night and I'm tired and I have one and I think back on how much relief I haven't had.  I know God has a plan for me and my migraines.  I truly believe that, but I'm still mad at him that he can't let me get better on my time.  I'm trying to accept the life God has laid out for me, pain included, it's just a little easier said than done.
     But while I continue to struggle with my anger (hey, acknowledgement is the first step in the right direction, isn't it), I wanted to post some of the things I had been doing with my time.  Now that I'm not laid up in bed all day, I've had a few projects I've been keeping under wraps.

     They are all postcards!  How cool is that?  The top one is square and doesn't have anything on the back so it's completely open for addresses.  I plan on sharing my sample album in tomorrow's post along with some photographs of my room and closet because they have been completely redone.  Exciting I know.  (By the way, all of the pictures above are from my photography business, Anna Peterson Photography.)

     I also have been doing some work for my brother-in-law.  I've really enjoyed trying to take what he wants and find it.  Believe me, trying to find someone to put a 20" anything on your own fabric is not an easy task.  I eventually got a stencil made by Signs First in Southaven and spray painting the green part (well, really Dad spray painted it for me cause he's pretty awesome at manly things like that).  While I was researching the best way to put the logo on a painter's dropcloth, I started looking into screen printing.  It's something I've always really wanted to do, but haven't really had a reason.  We'll see if I can find a reason to now that I know I can... without actually having to work at a t-shirt printing company. 

     We moved a lot of things in my room around, including my bed.  Miss Christine and Mom were Super Women and moved my bed all by themselves!  (With a little help from Magic Sliders, the Carpet Edition)
