We're All Just Puzzle Pieces

Yesterday I had the pleasure of having dinner with some of the cutest kids around.  It was definitely the highlight of my day.

You Can Talk All You Want

I've talked numerous times about a few playlists I've put together for this blog, so I thought it was past time I would share one.  This past few months I've been dying for spring to get here, now that it's here I think we should all have a party.  I have definitely missed party songs that I tend to dance to in my car, which means you'll be listening to a rather large variety of tunes.  I'm already working on next month's playlist.  These things don't get thrown together over night.
Yesterday, I tried my hand at making cinnamon swirl bread.  I was pretty successful if I do say so myself.  Usually there is a huge hole in the middle but not this time!  Let's just see if I can reproduce this again.

But Darling Just a Taste of It

I was recently reminded of one of my favorite camera apps to date: Hipstamatic.  Yesterday I was outside a good bit of the time playing with the app by taking photographs of the doggies.  Sometimes it is frustrating that you can't see exactly what the picture is going to turn out like until the very end (and yesterday the app had an extremely high crash rate).  However, I am so inspired by the magazine the designers of the app put out called Snap that I just can't help but keep trying to get the combinations just right for that perfect photograph.
If you're interested in a magazine that has beautiful pictures, hardly any ads, and relevant content (especially the formulas of the photos taken), check out Snap.  All of the photos featured in the magazine have been taken with the Hipstamatic app--seriously, it's fascinating.

I'm Going to Stand Up and Sing

Five Things I'm Thankful For This Week:
Fundraisers with good food, great friends, and gratifying causes
Dinners with wise women, choice cuisine, and fascinating fellowship
Projects with hand sketches, creative solutions, and plenty of firsts

Puppies with wagging tails, playful agendas, and muddy paws
Maxi dresses and skirts with pointy-toed flats (or boots), interesting details, and the perfect accessories

I'm also extremely thankful for God's timing and his providential nature over everything we do.
He has a plan.  One that is and always will be better than anything I could ever dream up.

You Been Actin' Like You're Too Cool

If you haven't ever seen Pirate Radio, you're missing out.  Tonight, I was super productive and watched the whole movie (that I recorded on Universal HD)--one of the few super awesome channels we get.  Ladies and gentlemen, I just have to say not many movies make me laugh out loud numerous times and throw my fists up in the air in support of victory.  And by not many movies, I mean no movie does, but this did.  I will admit that at the end of the movie I seriously almost shouted "Rock and Roll" with the characters on screen--I didn't but I did do a little clap.  I will not spoil the ending for you, if I haven't already, but I will say, Pirate Radio is awesome.  It's a must see, highly underrated movie where Derek from Smash makes an appearance.  For those of you who don't watch Smash, you're missing out on a great actor.
The other day, I had the privilege of setting up a photobooth at a senior party for a lovely lady who just had a birthday.  I'm pretty sure everyone involved had a blast!  I know I had fun just watching them pose!

Everything Falls Into Place

Two days in a row!  (It's like I'm dedicated or something.)  I probably shouldn't celebrate or anything until at least a month from now.
Rebranding is almost completely done for my photography business.  It has only taken forever, but my website is being redesigned as we speak and there is only a little bit left in my part of the redesign.  You have no idea how exciting this is for me.  I don't think I truly knew how much I bit off when I want to rebrand, just that I was completely unhappy with pretty much everything about my photography business.  Now I'm doing what I've wanted to do all along with a boutique portraiture experience.  I can't wait until I can share more with y'all but for now, all I'm going to say is get ready for some awesomeness.
I went out to eat with my parent's and a few of their friends tonight.  It was super delicious.  And I found this wonderful spot.  Despite all of Memphis's numerous flaws, great locations for photographs is not one of them.

Talk About Life Since Then Talk About Why Did It End

I've contemplated how to start out this post pretty much from week two of my radio silence.  I haven't stopped thinking of you, my audience, those of you who I know personally in real life and those of you who have just stumbled across this blog accidentally and don't mind reading the rambling of little old me.  Actually, I wrote almost a whole post last week that I just can't bring myself to publish.    I have neglected this poor blog of mine for a number of reasons, most of them I don't want to talk about.
I started this blog a whole year (plus a month) ago with the sole purpose of having one task to do everyday while I was in the midst of migraines.  It soon became a happy place for me to document things I had done, things I thought, and other things that don't fit in either category.  As the months went on, I wanted this blog to turn into something more--something like the other blogs I love to read. (There are only so many posts you're going to want to read about my migraine treatments, puppies, and daily activities.)  The bigger my plans got the more ashamed I got of my blog and the less I wanted to post.  My plans haven't completely changed, I do hope that slowly and surely this blog can get a 360 makeover.  However, I'm thinking it doesn't all have to be done at once (like I had originally wanted to do).
But I've definitely missed this.  I have playlists I need to share.  I need motivation to take pictures every day.  I don't remember to be thankful every week.  Plus, I've kinda missed staying up late putting collages together.  Basically I'm asking you if y'all will take me back as a blogger?  My life just isn't quite complete without it.
And because yesterday was National Sibling Day a picture of the Peterson family from our latest vacation together.  (Side note, I feel like it was National Sibling Day just a few months ago... surely it doesn't occur twice a year?)
