WE GOT OSCAR!!!! Which means instead of telling you about getting the little guy, I'm going to just show you through pictures and maybe a few commentaries now and then.
Dad cleaning off the kennel.
Jack decided he wanted to help
(and make sure the blower didn't get Dad).
He was awake for like maybe 5 minutes total the whole car ride home from Nashville
(all 3 1/2 hours... almost 4)
But we did stop for a little bit at a gas station so he could walk around!
He started sucking on his tongue!
Like I said before, he slept a lot and while he was getting used to me I kinda went crazy on the pictures.
He was just so adorable!
And he had lots of puppy dreams!
He inhaled his food (that whole bowl was full)
His tummy was so full he had to sit down!
I'm not sure you can see it but his foot is actually in the bowl
because he wants MORE!
Kitty Dante looks on, not sure if he should be completely upset or not.
Whenever Jack got water Oscar had to too.
He already wants to be just like his big brother/uncle (?)
I'm not 100% certain about that relationship, but that's not really that important.
Jack loves the idea that he now has a playmate, but he doesn't quite know his own strength at times. Which makes me nervous, but as soon as Oscar grows up some I know they will have fun. (Oscar wants to play too.) Oscar's mom was a golden retriever (his dad was a standard poodle) so I think Jack is someone who at least looks familiar. Dante doesn't really know what to think, but I think Oscar will grow on him (at least I hope). He didn't run away completely when he came face to face with Oscar. Oscar is so adorable and I think he is going to keep being adorable, but then again I might be a little biased. He was the biggest in his litter and this litter had the biggest puppies in general for the breeder, D's Doodles. We bought him a small collar from Target and it BARELY fits (plus his paws are massive for a puppy, at least in my opinion). He wasn't much of a fan of kenneling for the night. I think he just didn't like being locked up somewhere. But we put a blanket over the crate so he couldn't see out at all and that seemed to stop his howling (he looked like a pot-bellied little wolf for a few seconds, of course it was adorable). I know you'll be seeing more pictures of this fluff ball throughout my posts.
My Mom took all of the pictures that you see me in plus some. I think she got some really cute ones (of Oscar and Jack and Oscar and Dante). I was too busy worrying over Oscar to take too many pictures once we got home.
