The Anticipation is Killing Me Again

My mom brought in outside help and we managed to get a lot done in a little time.  I was rather surprised at our progress but I'm so glad we got as much done as we did.
We're definitely still not through but I just wanted to show you what we've accomplished because I am so proud of it.  I have great ideas for my future craft area thanks to pinterest, of course.  I was going to share some of my pins, but then again, I'm not 100% certain any of my pins are exactly what I want to do.  I more want to collide a 100 ideas together which will probably make it look like nothing or like the same things everyone else is already doing.  Either way is fine with me but you're just going to have to wait to see the final project.
It's the last day without Mr. Oscar!!! I'm so excited.  I'm like a little kid before Christmas... I have so much energy even though it's been an extremely long day.  (Apparently I used to get so excited about my birthday/birthday parties when I was little that I used to tire myself out so when the day finally got there I was almost too exhausted to have fun... sounds like me.)  The anticipation is usually almost always better than the real thing.  EXCEPT with puppies (well I guess that would depend on the person), but this girl right here is ready for her puppy for forever.  I realized today that I didn't have an ID tag for little puppy Oscar and when I went to check Jack's so I could get a matching tag he didn't have one (but he did have his rabies tag, don't worry).
Did you know 1 in 3 pets goes missing in its lifetime and 90% of them never get return home?  (At least that's the shocking "lost pet reality" according to Home Again Pets.)  ID tags can get lost, so can collars.  Dogs can get them caught on something and loose them.  I know Dante has done that at least once and while he's not a dog, I can see how it would be close to the same thing.  I would hate for any of my pets to ever get lost because you never know what could happen to them (not all shelters are no kill, scary thought, huh?).  Which got me to thinking, is microchipping the best option?  I don't know too much information about them but from what I know all vet offices and shelters have the ability to check for a microchip and if the pet is found with one then they will alert the someone with the microchip company who will alert the owner.  All for around $20-30 dollars.  What do you think about microchipping?  Does your pet have one? I'm still on the fence about it, but I am going to ask my vet when we take Oscar to see her Friday.
I thought I'd put up one last picture of Dante.
I'm not sure how he's going to react to Oscar.
When we brought Jack home Dante didn't come up to the house for almost a year.
