What If I'm Missing Out

One week each summer my church spends time helping families in need fix up their houses.  It started with restoring one home and has quickly spread to helping with different restoration projects on four or five homes.  The work done on every single one of the houses is truly incredible.  Volunteers take off work during this week just so they can be there every day (or whatever their schedule allows).  As someone who has pretty much never felt called to be out in the heat and do back breaking work, I truly admire these men and women who put so much into these projects.
Every evening after the work has been completed, there is a dinner for everyone (those who have worked and those who just want to hear about what was accomplished that day). During this dinner the group gets updates on each of the projects from the volunteers who worked at the various sites that day.  Mainly it's a report of what got done and what they expect to get done the next day.  Everyone fellowships together, songs are sung, the gospel is read, and prayers are prayed.  I went to one of the dinners last year and really enjoyed myself (and enjoyed taking pictures).
This year, I haven't really been able to attend the day time work sessions.  It's the first year I've really actually wanted to attend (to be completely honest).  But I had to work yesterday and had another work function in the middle of the day that tied me up.  So today I just went to the dinner, but tomorrow I'm planning on not only helping out but also taking pictures to document each of the projects.  (I truly love that I'm the unofficial official photographer for things.)
