I didn't really get a chance to post last night because I was on a plane flying back from Hawaii to the good ole Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter (aka Mississippi). I thought I wasn't going to do much explaining, just post pictures, but that doesn't exactly do them justice does it?
For our last day we ate at the most wonderful Cafe Haleiwa.
They have the most delicious pancakes one could ever ask for
(and they are humongous to boot!)
Then after a short trip back home (to MM & Greg's) we ventured over to where the old Sugar Mills used to be.
Greg had some awesome art from a local artist that Mom just had to try. The following pictures are from around in his workshop (I believe I've already posted a brief glimpse). This guy is pretty awesome he does "pop art" as Mom calls it out of the same material that you would use to make a surfboard. You can find out more information on his work at

Here is a really cool video that can be found on their
blog about "How to Make Resin Art"
(yeah, that's pretty much the title of the video). I thought I'd add it in for good measure.
Then we went to Lowes and Home Depot in search of sealing wax palms and other plants.
I love this blooming pink tree that seems to always have blooms!
And back home for a little walk-about on and off the leash.
Before we left we found a brewery that had just opened a restaurant (like 2 months earlier!) and I loved trying out all the different beers (and a new kind of fried rice, eaten only with chopsticks).
We boarded the plane right after dinner and then flew all night to get in around 3 o'clock central time. (So we started traveling at 2 o'clock am central time and didn't stop for the next 13 hours.)
If that doesn't wear you out I don't know what will.
And of course the obligatory picture of the pups back home!
Oscar's fur is getting long, wavy, and just bushy enough. I love it.
He has his surgery tomorrow to make him a little less of a man.
He's getting so grown up!
