The Inspiring Acts of Others

I ran across an article the other day about a man who took a picture a day for eighteen years--until the day he died.  I think his final plan was to gather all of his pictures together in the end as a compilation of his life.  He took every picture with his Polaroid camera.  After he died, his friends put all of his pictures on the internet for everyone to see.  These images tell a story of his life.  Here are a few photos from the beginning of his first year.

I have been contemplating the idea of a "photo a day" project for quite some time now.  This article and website just pushed me to finally decide that I am going to follow in this man's footsteps and document my life.  And you're going be here to witness it all.  Every day from now on I plan to take at least one picture a day and have it up on my blog.  I am still going to continue to post other things as well.  But this project is such an interesting one.  Now I am not going to limit myself to just one camera, although I think that is a wonderful idea.  I am going to use my Nikon D7000 and the camera on my phone at different times.  So I hope you enjoy each and every day.
You can find the article here. The website with his complete photo a day can be found here.  I do hope you all enjoy the article and the man's pictures as much as I have. As well as enjoy my photo a day project.
